With the cold and flu season right around the corner, many essential tips can help you get through the season seamlessly. These tips and tricks are bound to help you lessen your symptoms as they will make it easier for you to relieve the pressure they are causing.

1. Avoiding Germs

It might seem hard to do as some of these may appear impolite, but in reality, the best thing you can do to stay healthy is to reduce your exposure to other germs. Turning your face away from people sneezing can often be a great way of avoiding particles that could reach you. In a similar vein, not touching your lips, eyes or nose can also help reduce the spread of germs.

2. Get proper sleep.

Sleep is key for people who want to keep their immune systems high. According to a study by the Archives of Internal Medicine, those who slept less than 7 hours per night, are shown to be three times more likely to catch a cold.

3. Rinse your Nose

Rinsing your nose with a saline solution can help you clear out viral particles. This will also help you breathe better throughout your day.

4. Don’t forget your fluids

Fluids are an essential part of staying healthy as they can help reduce the mucus in the body. If you are taking your fluids it will also be easier for your system to clear out any infection.

5. Probiotics

Probiotics are associated with helping reduce the effects on your system. They can also help keep your digestive system healthier, which can be important during recovery.

6. Have some honey

Honey is a great tool for reducing inflammation due to its properties. Add it to tea or simply eat a spoonful of it to benefit from its effects.
