Spine Chilling Revelation: Everyone Lives with Ghosts

A paranormal investigator says that most of us are likely living with some otherworldly roommates, claiming that β€œ90% of all homes are haunted.”

Well-known paranormal investigator  Rob Pyke says that “ghosts” or “spirits” or the “souls of the dear departed,” however you refer to them, are a lot more common than you think; in fact, he says you have probably been living with a couple of them all of your life.

Speaking to the British press recently, Pyke said, “A good 90 or more percent of us have a spirit in our houses. Whether they’re just looking out for us, whether they want to make themselves known to us or not, it’s up to them.”

Pyke says that while the prospect of sharing your digs with one or more ghostly roommates might sound freighting, for the most part, it’s nothing to worry about.

“We had an old miner called Arthur living in our old house,” he shared.

“We used to have the smell of tobacco waft past us, and that’s how you’d know he was there; it was absolutely fine.

He went on, “We lived in the house. He lived in the house; he might still live there now.”

Pyke also says that these wayward spirits are almost always quite harmless and reassures that ghosts are usually pretty respectful house guests – and they won’t even make your bills go up.

“To quote [historian] Richard Felix, if ghosts had a job, it wouldn’t be to scare people,” Pyke continued.

“They’re just continuing to crack on live their life, you know, they’re not down there to jump out of a corner and say ‘boo’ or anything like that.”

“There’s nothing to be afraid of ghosts whatsoever. The only problem is, that you don’t know who they are. You wouldn’t invite a stranger in,” but he adds, “to them, it is you who may be the stranger in their house, as they may have lived in that house both living and dead much longer than you have.”

So what should you do if you suspect you’re living with a ghost? Pyke has some words of wisdom – but it might not be what you’d expect.

“Would I say communicate, find out who it is? Now, because you are then encouraging and acknowledging their presence. They’re not there to scare you. Just completely ignore them.”
