Mom Butchered Stabbed More Than 60 Times And Body Stuffed In Duffle Bag

A New York mother was brutally murdered, stabbed over 60 times, and her body shoved into a duffle bag!

By all accounts, the attractive 51-year-old woman,  Orsolya Gaal, was brutally murdered while her teenage son was upstairs in their $2 million New York City home.

The married mother of two was brutally stabbed nearly 60 times before her body was discovered in a duffel bag less than a half-mile from her stately home in the upscale neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, law enforcement sources said.

Gaal, who was found inside the luggage just after 8 am on Saturday, Apr. 16, sustained about 60 sharp force injuries to her neck, torso, and left arm, according to sources with knowledge of her autopsy, the NY Post reported.

Puncture wounds were discovered on her carotid artery and trachea, the sources also said.

She was also discovered with knife wounds inside her fingers and on the palms of her hands, according to the sources, indicative of “defensive wounds.”

It did not immediately appear that Gaal suffered any sexual trauma, the sources said.

Police found a trail of blood leading back to her posh Juno Street home.

Gaal allegedly told her 13-year-old son Friday that she was going out to watch a show, but later met up with another man, police sources told local TV station WPIX. Gaal’s husband and older 17-year-old son were out of town for the weekend looking at colleges the older boy was thinking of attending.

As if Gaal’s brutal murder were not shocking enough, the unidentified man allegedly killed Gaal in the basement of her home – while her younger son was upstairs — and then used her phone to send an ominous text to her wealthy businessman husband, Howard Klein, saying, “Your whole family is next!”

Authorities believe the suspect knew his victim and attacked her out of anger; police sources told the NY Post.

Surveillance video captured an unidentified person wheeling a duffel bag down a sidewalk at about 4:30 am. Saturday.

By all accounts, Gaal and Klein seemed happily married and the family loving and stable. Gaal, a striking 51-year-old blonde, regularly flooded her Facebook page with adoring photos of the family of four and a slew of loving old wedding snaps of her and her husband, as well.

The family posed together in a selfie on New Year’s Eve — as Gaal declared, “Hoping 2022 will be a great one.”

Neighbors told The Post that Gaal was devoted to her two children and family.

“She was a lovely lady. Always very attentive to her family, her kids, just an amazing person,” said local Theodora Grafas, who lives behind them.

“I met her parents and sister when they visited,” Grafas said. “I believe they were from Hungary. [Gaal] was kind to people. Super friendly and took care of her kids and family.”

Reached by phone Klein, the founder of RK Equity Advisors — a boutique capital markets advisory firm focused on lithium-ion battery materials — told The NY Post he was at an airport preparing to fly back to New York and was “in the middle of a terrible experience.”

“[My son] Leo is safe. Thank God [my son] is safe,” he said Saturday of his younger child, before adding that his family’s “lives are at stake.”

“There are concerns about our safety,” the man claimed. “Our lives are at risk.”

As of Tuesday morning Apr. 19, there have been reports that police have identified a “person of interest” in Gaal’s murder.

This is a developing story.
