Man Claims Creepy Video Shows His Dog Playing With a Ghost?

Did an Australian man capture his dog frolicking with a “ghost dog” on his home security camera?

Jake DeMarco was left shaken after a bone-chilling CCTV clip appeared to show his pet pup Ryder playing with a ghost dog in his backyard in Melbourne.

In something like a scene from the “Pet Sematary” movies, the bizarre video, which was reposted by Caters News Agency, shows Ryder chasing a translucent white pooch around outside in a fenced-in area. The two canines can be seen playfully running about by a water tower before Ryder’s alleged phantom friend scurries out of the frame.

DeMarco, 38, told Caters he was particularly shocked at seeing the second dog in his backyard — which is reportedly secured by a locked high fence and therefore impossible for a canine to breach.

Upon spotting the freaky footage, the frightened father of two ran outside to try to spot Ryder’s paranormal-seeming playmate. However, by that time, the “Casper” canine had reportedly disappeared.

Astute commenters on the video point out that several times the “ghost dogs” eyes reflect in the light like a living canine’s would on a night vision camera. Why would an otherwise translucent spectral dog have normal solid dog eyes with tapetum lucidum, which is a light-reflecting membrane on the surface of dogs and many other animals’ eyes that help them to see better than humans at night.

Most of those who have looked at the video think this is a white dog that was able to scale DeMarco’s fence or find egress into his yard some other way.Check out the video here for yourself, and you decide if this was just some kind of imaging artifact of the camera or a real case of “paw-a-normal” activity.
