ICE Detainer Ignored Resulting In a Woman Being Raped Twice

The stories of illegal aliens committing countless heinous acts of violence are heartbreaking and infuriating.

Most if not all of these egregious acts are preventable if only local police officers did their jobs as lawmen rather than acting as political stooges for progressive politicians — putting the interests of illegal aliens ahead of law-abiding citizens.

This latest example of police malfeasance took place in Oklahoma City. A county sheriff refused to honor an ICE detainer which allowed a 38-year old illegal criminal alien from El Salvador to walk out of his jail cell and commit another sexual assault on the same victim he had raped previously.

Antonio Ulises Perez was captured and arrested on Wednesday, by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for the duel rapes along with being in the country illegally.

The incident began around September 30th when Perez was arrested by the Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) on suspicion of rape. On October 8th ICE agents interviewed Perez while in police custody, and immediately lodged an immigration detainer with the OCSO, asking them to transfer custody of Perez to ICE if in the event he was somehow scheduled for release “prior” to being set free from local custody.

The police were unable to positively establish that a rape had occurred and were forced to release Perez on October 9th at approximately 3 a.m., ignoring to honor the active detainer ICE had placed on Perez.

Almost immediately following his release from the Oklahoma County Jail, Perez went back to the home of the woman he allegedly raped and raped her again, before fleeing the scene. The unidentified woman victimized twice contacted police once again. However, this time ICE agents found and arrested Perez.

This incident isn’t an isolated case in Oklahoma County, within the past few months, the County Sheriff’s office routinely fails to honor ICE detainers, releasing criminal aliens back into the community at will, before ICE agents have an opportunity to take them into custody.

Marc Moore, field office director for ICE in Dallas lamented, “It is unconscionable that someone who is sworn to uphold the law would find it acceptable to release an alleged rapist who is illegally present in the U.S. back into the community when there are other options available under federal immigration law.”

Adding, “Within a few hours of being released, this illegal alien was back at the home of the rape victim where he was free to re-victimize her and harm other members of the community. Fortunately, ICE deportation officers were able to quickly locate this individual and safely take him back into custody.”

The stunning data concerning the epidemic of crime among the illegal population is astounding, however easily preventable

Nationally, approximately 90% of all individuals arrested by ICE during the fiscal year of 2019 either had a criminal conviction, a pending criminal charge, had illegally re-entered the United States after being previously removed (a federal felony), or were an immigration fugitive subject to a final order of removal.

Moreover, about 70% of all arrests by ICE take place after local authorities notify ICE regarding the release of criminal aliens from local jails or state prisons.

According to data provided by the Department of Justice a stunning total of 57,820 known or suspected illegal aliens were in custody for a range of criminal offenses as of the end of the first quarter of the Fiscal Year 2018.

Obviously, local law enforcement that either refuse or willfully ignore requests from ICE agents to detain criminal aliens must be addressed, the simplest way is to vote these individuals out of office, or perhaps formally indict them (regardless if their politicians or lawmen), for violating federal immigration laws…and you’ll see how quickly this issue is suddenly resolved.
