Fox News contributor and Author of “Taken For Granted” Gianno Caldwell talked to some in the Los Angeles ‘Skid Row’ homeless population to find out if they have been properly informed by local government on the threat of coronavirus.
It turns out, not so much, at least with the people he spoke with.
Some living on Skid Row had no idea what the coronavirus was when Caldwell asked them, while others did but still continued to not follow the social distancing guidelines.
If you are living on “skid row”…
Does this matter? Think about it!
And California Democrats really care, only when they give them $5 if they vote for them. Despicable.
Disposable!
The marginal , the outcast , the forgotten. If you do unto the least of these , you do unto me.
The words of scripture reveals what the “benevolent ,loving, and caring democrats” do not do , unless it will render more votes , therefore , more power “to them” .
This is a ridiculous survey!! The “homeless” can be grouped into three ‘general’ categories: The mentally disturbed, the drug dependent and those who wish to work but (for whatever reason) are unemployed. In the first group, we find our ‘service’ veterans, those men and women who SHOULD still be the responsibility of the armed forces — and who should be helped by the services themselves. The remainder of this group are the responsibility of the general public (mental hospitals and clinics).
The second group, the druggies, are a special classification. Many are there because they WANT TO BE THERE. They have NO inclination (or hope) of recovery and many BLAME society for their dilemma. Others owe their dependency to ‘over zealous’ doctors who caused their ‘illness’ by over-prescription of painkillers. Both of these categories depend on help from the general public. This ‘help’ can only be realized by “drying up” the source of illegal narcotics (closed borders and mail enforcement.
Finally, the third group. No one in the U.S. should be “forced” to be idle. Since “industry” demands ‘skilled’ labor (in most instances), retraining OR remedial employment should be the responsibility of the Federal Government. It is patently RIDICULOUS to pay a person to sit around and do NOTHING (welfare). This activity should be left to the Churches who do a FAR BETTER job than our paid “social experts” who would work themselves OUT OF A JOB if they were actually successful.
To me, it looks like the States, Cities, and Towns didn’t do their jobs. Why? If the States are supposed to oversee the Cities and Towns in their States, it their responsibility to take care of the homeless, especially in the larger cities, like LA, Philly, New York City, Washington D.C., Baltimore, etc. What’s the problem? Where is the breakdown?
why would calif. politicians care about homeless? they only matter when they become a voting citizen. it is so pitiful that the govt of ca. does nothing to address the homeless situation
Can’t say most Americans haven’t figured this out. Democrats…despicable
The homeless sound like their following the Republican lead of not following social distancing guidelines and have been brainwashed by the early reports of Trump and his Trumpettes that this is all a hoax, no reason to get concerned it’ll all be over by April.
