According to recent statistics, California and Florida are the U.S. states that boast the highest numbers of reported sightings, with 10,015 and 5,602, respectively.
Perhaps that is why it was Florida’s Republican Senator, Marco Rubio, who, in his role as the Senate Intelligence Committee Chair, included a provision in its annual authorization bill requiring various military and intelligence agencies to compile a detailed analysis of all of the available data on unexplained aerial phenomena. The analysis would be declassified and available to the public and must be completed within 180 days of the bill’s passage.
As we have reported several times in these pages, last year, the U.S. Navy acknowledged that the objects are seen in three widely leaked and ultimately declassified videos were, in fact, “unidentified flying objects.” That is as far as the acknowledgment went. No conclusion was drawn as to what they were, or where they came from, but trained fighter pilots said they had performed aerial maneuvers that no aircraft they were familiar with was capable of.
The statistics on California and Florida were accumulated and presented by the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC). In 1996, NUFORC placed an online form on its website, so citizens could report any UFO sightings. Since then, the site has racked up more than 90,000 reported sightings, nearly all of them from North America.
These reports are publicly viewable and include descriptions that run the gamut from “a series of bright spheres moved slowly, one-by-one, in a southerly direction, away from a stationary sphere” (Gloucester, Massachusetts, 7/8/18) to “White light circling a star” (Pearland, Texas, 8/14/20).
Skeptics claim that the high numbers of sightings in Florida and California are likely to be mainly due to the fact that both states are known for a lot of aerodynamic and space exploration research. Many of these sightings might in fact be cases of mistaken identity.
However, NUFORC’s director, Peter Davenport, says, “People report everything as UFOs, but I doubt that theory is correct. I can’t prove it, of course. The population, weather conditions, the fact that people are outdoors quite often [in those states]—there are many, many variables.”
Davenport is a former candidate for both the Washington state legislature and the U.S. House of Representatives. He holds master’s degrees in biology and finance and has directed the NUFORC since 1994. He himself had a sighting along with hundreds of others at a drive-in movie when he was a kid growing up in St. Louis.
Interestingly enough, currently, California and Florida hold the number 1 and number 3 spots respectively of the most COVID-19 cases in the nation. Just a coincidence, or is there something else in play here?

I agree that more people are likely to be outside in both states. The weather is often very good and the air clear so how far you can see something comes into play as well. And yes because of this it’s why in Florida and California even in WWII they were selected for pilot training because of the weather conditions. The other reason often overlooked is that Eglin AFB is actually “Area 51 East” because of it’s location near the Gulf which is an ideal place to test without being seen. And the East Coast offer similar possibilities with any number of locations where “X-craft” could be maintained without attracting attention. I have seen several such tests of aircraft that aren’t supposed to exist have been observed. And when you read several accounts of reported craft that have had problems they have landed at McDill AFB under conditions where everyone was required to go indoors and close all shades – something lands and goes into an open hanger and the doors are shut. Later – cargo planes arrive and pulled into the hanger under cover and then leave.
I would hope we have new aircraft in the loop and they have to be explained away someway. UFO is a great way to cover it and go about your business.
I think they’re real, but I don’t believe there are little green men from Mars in them. I believe there are German Nazis flying them. Toward the end of WWII the Nazis were experimenting with exotic flying machines like these UFOs and everything about it disappeared after the war.

Its very simple! Egglin Air Force Base, and McDill AFB are on the west coast of Florida and they train our astronauts for the USA’s Flying Saucer Fleet(Space Force) and California is close to the Canadian Base.

In the summer of 1978 or 1979 at dust my sitter and i say 3 very bright lights of the same size in a triangle pattern in the sky over saginw bay. The remained there long enough for me to call a family member who lived two doors away. They did not see it. Then I saw on the horizon a sphere shaped metal looking sizable object appear. it had 7 lights around what appeared to be the front of it . I ran out to the end of our dock to get closer to take photos. All I had for a camera was instamatic camera like a polorid. all photos came out black. At that point my baby sitter yelled down to me ” They probably want your two little boys. Which scared me so I returned to cottage. It disappeared just as quickly as it came. poof it was gone. We had an airforce base about 20 miles north of us and I called them and no they did not have anything in the air,i got the same answer from the military base that was across the bay . So then I called the coast Guard and they said they had other calls that evening from shore owners.. There explination was maybe weather ballons. Thiis was not weather ballons. So that is my story and I belive in UFOs
