There is a technology upgrade going on around the world right now as large telecommunications companies such as AT&T and Verizon push 5G wireless technology, like it or not.
5G radio frequency (RF) bands were auctioned off recently in Europe, setting off a feeding frenzy among telco providers. From the purely technical perspective, who wouldn’t want faster data transfer speeds an order of magnitude higher than 4G?
Brussels, Belgium for one. Céline Fremault, the Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, is in charge of Housing, Quality of Life, Environment, and Energy. On March 29, 2019, Fremault said in an interview with L’Echo (The Echo) that she opposed the 5G rollout over concerns about public health:
“I cannot welcome such technology if the radiation standards, which must protect the citizen, are not respected, 5G or not. The people of Brussels are not guinea pigs whose health I can sell at a profit. We cannot leave anything to doubt.”
Fremault said that the proposed 5G pilot project was incompatible with Belgian radiation safety standards and no exception would be made to the technocratic oligarchy.

Meanwhile, Stateside, on February 7, 2019, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal asked some tough questions of large telecommunications representatives during the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee hearing on the future of 5G wireless technology and its impact on the American people and economy.
Sen. Blumenthal pointed out that, due to the absence of scientific studies about the possible health risks of 5G, very little scientific data has been collected and reviewed with an eye toward consumer protection. He then asked a pointed question:
“I believe that Americans deserve to know what the health effects are, not to pre-judge what scientific studies may show, and they also deserve a commitment to do the research on outstanding questions. So my question for you: How much money has the industry committed to supporting additional independent research—I stress independent—research? Is that independent research ongoing? Has any been completed? Where can consumers look for it? And we’re talking about research on the biological effects of this new technology.”
The Big Telco industry reps had to admit that there have been NO formal scientific studies done on the health effects of exposure to 5G radiation. The arrogance implied in the decision to force a potentially dangerous technology on the world’s populations is nothing short of staggering, matched only by the massive profits awaiting the bandwidth providers.
However, independent researchers have been doing the work that the Big Telcos overlooked as they planned their “smart” system that will be a surveillance network bar none, on a scale never before imagined – or imaginable.
Current wireless technologies (2G, 3G, and 4G) have already been tested extensively and found to be harmful to humans, especially at close range. Laboratory testing has linked RF radiation below 5G to cancer in rats. This bodes ill for us humans.
Doesn’t it stand to reason that the ever-more-powerful 5G radiation would be even more harmful to humans and other animals?
That’s the conclusion reached by two of Switzerland’s 26 cantons (member states of the Swiss Confederation). On April 9, 2019, Vaud passed a resolution that called for a moratorium on new 5G antenna installations until receiving and evaluating a report on 5G requested from the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment. Two days later, Geneva followed suit by introducing a preliminary ban on the construction of 5G antennae.
Sen. Blumenthal also stood up for the American people as the Big Telcos plot to radiate 5G energy everywhere, including urban areas where we live, work, and play:
“The latest 5G wireless technology relies on the deployment of many more new antennas and transmitters that are clustered lower to the ground and closer to homes and schools. There has been even more limited research with respect to the health ramifications of 5G technology, and the FCC has thus far failed to adequately explain how they have determined 5G is safe.”
At the end of the U.S. Senate hearing on 5G safety, Sen. Blumenthal concluded that “there really is no research ongoing” into the safety of 5G technologies and “We’re kind of flying blind here, as far as health and safety is concerned.”
Equally chilling is the potential for abuse posed by all “smart” technology where computerized systems use software algorithms (a type of program) to evaluate data, make independent decisions, and “learn” from “experience.” These devices are transceivers, meaning they are capable of both sending and receiving wireless radio signals.
Not only do smart appliances turn on the lights before you get home (if so instructed), they tell their manufacturer all about it, too. Had a spike in your utility bill? Your smart meter will nark you out to anyone looking for illegal marijuana grow operations, whether you are guilty or not.
One critic of 5G wrote:
“There is almost no question that a 5G-world would place us all under an unprecedented level of surveillance and control; granting unheard-of powers to soulless corporate algorithms.”

Think globally, act locally. Avoid 5G until it has been proven safe for humans and other living things.
